Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent) and/or be B Certified Medical Technologist or MLSOwith cuncnt registration Masters degree in Biochcmistry/Molecular Biology or equivalent from An accredited.

Experience:Minimum of five (5) years post licensure experience with at least two (2) years In a comparable supervisory level in a mBjor (400+ bed) hospital or laboratory Minimum of two (2) years of experience in clinical and research laboratory

Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:

• Ensures and maintains the Laboratory to be in compl iance with the laws governing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the standards adopted by the Ministry of Health; and accrediting and regulatory bodies such as loint Comm ission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO); Centers for Disease Control (CDC); National Institutes of Health (NIH); World Health Organization (WHO); Occupational Safety and Health Adm in titration (OSHA); National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); Nuclear Regulation Comm iss ion (NRC); and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Foundation for the Accred tBt if Cell ular Therapy (FACT).
  
• Supervises the day-to-day activities of technical staff assigned in the area that are engaged in perform ing routine and special ized technical procedures to meet the daily operational requirements.
  
• Assists in the periodic assessment of ongoing laborBtory research studies, plans laboratory work, evaluate workload performed and handle procedural and technical laboratory problems — subm itting recommendations where appropriate.
  
• Ensures that materials, reagents and sUpplies are avBilable and participate in tenders related to the assigned area.
  
• Assist U&M in analyzing and evaluating mechanical installations! equipment in existing buildings!facilities and make proposals for correcting deficiencies
  
• Assists and recommends to senior management with regard to the long-range planning of laboratory/research activities within the department.
  
• Assists in the development of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  
• Monitors quality control, quality assurance, safety assurance, safety inspection control.
