Professional Qualification / Experience: Msc or PhD in earth Science or Engineering from reputed University/ As a Petro Physicist you should have at least 16-20 years of relevant Experience, preferably gained with an operator.Integration with other subsurface disciplines is desirable. You should be a motivated self-starter in addition to possessing good written and verbal Communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Petro physics team.
- Deliver technically excellence in petro physics.
- Coach and mentor less experienced staff, and act as a role model for them.
- Chair the team meetings.
- Sets discipline guidelines as required.
- Guarantees competence levels.
- Animates respective discipline group
- Recommends personnel requirement.
- Manages with HR the personnel issues relative to his/her discipline.
- Identifies quality related issues, makes route cause analysis and suggests improvements.
- Develop, analyze, manage and enforce the objectives of the PP discipline/team.
- Participate to the definition/ and election of software and hardware investments for PP.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Improve the standards and processes for the PP discipline.
- Lead the company's petro physical community to share best practices.
- Perform peer assists, technical reviews, and QA/QC review within and outside the company.
- Work in an integrated team of geoscientists and petroleum / production engineers to deliver robust studies to define future field development opportunities and reserves potential.
- Carry out integrated PP studies .
- Run and analyze SCAL programs as and when required.
- Identify technology requirements and plan and evaluate the testing of new software and techniques.
