Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in related field.
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:
- Sets up and operates audio and video equipment. including microphones, sound speakers, video screens,
Video monitors. Recording equipment. Connecting wires and cables. Sound and mixing boards. Related
Electronic equipment and custom lighting for meetings, symposia, presentations and new conferences.
- Monitors incoming and outgoing pictures and sound feeds to ensure quality. and notifies directors of any
Possible problems. Mixes and regulates sound inputs and feeds or coordinates audio feeds with television
Pictures.
- Installs, adjusts and operates electronic equipment used to record edit. and transmit radio and television
Programs and cable programs. Switchs sources of video input from one camera or studio to another, from
Film to live programming, or from network to local programming.
- Diagnoses and resolves media system problems in classrooms. Auditoriums and other venues. Informs
Management of problems and recommends solutions.
- Meets with directors and senior members of camera crews to discuss assignments and determine filming
Sequences. Camera movements and picture composition. Designs layouts of audio. Video and lighting
Equipment.
- Tests, fine-tunes, calibrates, repairs and routinely cleans audio and video equipment. Notifies supervisors
When major equipment repairs are needed. Conducts routine inventory of equiprnent/devices/upplies.
- Recommends new and existing equipment and systems to ensure effective and quality support for
Communicating informational and educational media. Assists with providing technical expertise to
Contractors, media staff and hospital staff regarding equipment purchases and installation.
- Assists in the development, review and implementation of departmental resource materials, policies and
Procedures for the production and delivery of staff and patient education programs.
