Position Title: Quality Management Specialist I

Education: Bachelor Degree in Health Care profession (i.e. Nursing, Pharmacy, Hospital Administration or other or other relevant discipline or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum of four (4) years work experience of which at least two (2) years recent experience should be in Quality Management in acute care facility or large Ambulatory care environment.Current knowledge of Quality Management tool and techniques Knowledge of JCIA standards.Experience working in a personal computer environment.Effective interpersonal communications and teaching skills.

Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:

• Perform any related duties as assigned.
• Facilitating, monitoring, educating, conducting, and coordinating Joint Commission Accreditation and Reaccreditations.
• Responsible for recommendations regarding annual review/revision within all KAMC-CR quality management programs/activities, databases, indicators etc.
• Implementation of Continuous Improvement Initiatives including;
• New Quality Management System;
• Disease Management Programme;
• Patient Safety Walkrounds Programme - this involves, among other things, analysing and Reporting on clinical practices; processes; error reporting and the environment from the Perspective of patient safety;
