Education: Bachelor in Engineering (Civil) from a recognized university with relevant experience. Candidates possessing MBA will be preferred.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 6 to 8 years’ experience in construction management preferably in education, research or healthcare sectors.
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all drawings provided to the contractor are well coordinated with other disciplines and discrepancies to be resolved immediately at site.
- Keep Project Manager updated with all field issues and be available to make presentation to Senior Management as and when required.
- Review drawings of project for constructability and implementation in the field to suite the job requirements.
- Ensure completion of project within the stipulated time and budget and at the same time achieve quality products.
- Closely monitor construction progress. Monitor all disciplines and alert site staff as well as Constructions of potential problems.
- Monitor on-going construction activities for quality and quantity.
- Monitor and assist the Contractors on day to day activities performed on site and advise/suggest methods for improvement and better productivity and quality assurance.
- Be aware of and monitor duties of the architectural, mechanical and electrical engineers and correlate their work with all engineering disciplines.
- Keep track and make recommendations for payments for payments for labour and material and maintain detail record of all payments.
- Coordinate with users regarding any item that may impact the Hospital operations.
- Must be equipped with the techniques of handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances/conflicts.
- Supervisory skills and Team Leadership qualities to independently lead a multidiscipline team.
- Expected to independently take decisions for operational activities, subject to policies and procedures.
- Conducts ongoing risk analysis, looking ahead for contingent liabilities and opportunities and astutely identifying the risks involved and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advocates and commits to ongoing training and development to foster a learning culture within the department.
- Builds networks that can enable the achievement of the institution’s goals.
