Position Title: Assistant Splicer
Position Based In: Karachi - Pakistan
Employer / Client’s Detail: Leading Telecom Company
Gender: Male
Education: FSc or DAE in Electronics, Telecommunication or Electrical
Experience: DAE/FSC or Metric with 2 Years Experience
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per schedule.
- Operation & Maintenance of Optical Fibre Cable Network.
- Keeping tools and Splicing Kit in excellent operational condition.
- Responsible for good house keeping of telehouse and OMU.
- Update rough as built diagrams.
- Knowledge of Optical Fiber Cable, its contruction and laying methodology.
- Knowledge of OTDR, splicing machine, joint boxes, patch cords, pigtails, connector types, Fiber scope and OFC jointing methodoligies.
- OFC jointing skills.
- Healthy to work as Labour when required.
Required Skills:
- Know how of OTDR and Splicing Machine
- Preparation of cable for splicing
- Jointing and securing of joint enclosure
